Community Involvement

As residents of the Pacific Northwest, we feel it’s our responsibility to give back to the communities we call home. Our staff is encouraged to share their talents on a personal level to non-profits in addition to the corporate contributions we make. Organizations we’re frequently involved with include the Boys & Girls Clubs, Rebuilding Together and Young Life. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these outstanding programs and to consider donating your time to a good cause.

Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs have been supported by Merit with time dedicated to serving on their board for more than 20 years. Members of our team have chaired the facilities committee, served as board chair and assisted in procuring in-kind donations for construction. In addition, Merit has constructed new facilities and renovated a number of the clubs providing pre-construction and construction services and serving on their capital campaign committees.

On each project completed for them, our field workers have donated their personal time to provide various enhancements to the work. As an example, several of our carpenters installed rock climbing walls in the facilities to show their appreciation for what the Boys & Girls Clubs provide to our community. Rebuilding Together

Merit Construction Northwest is a sponsor of Rebuilding Together. Across the country each year, more than 225,000 volunteers rehabilitate approximately 10,000 houses and non-profit facilities. Merit Construction Northwest employees have served on the board to further their involvement with the organization. For more information, please visit www.rebuildingtogether.org.

Young Life

Merit has several staff members involved with the Young Life organization. We volunteer through our children’s schools and in our home towns, as well as consistently supporting fundraising efforts. For more information, please visit www.younglife.org.
