Boys And Girls Clubs Of South Puget Sound – Milgard Family Hope Center (Lakewood)
Merit Construction was selected to construct this 31,000 SF facility for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound. The structure was built adjacent to an elementary school and coordination with the local school district was a critical part of this project. Merit worked with the local energy providers to take advantage of energy saving rebates. The concrete tilt-up gymnasium is equipped to accommodate sporting and community events, with the building containing a full service kitchen, refrigeration equipment and adjacent dining area. Beautiful cedar glue laminated beams support the building’s wood frame roof.
