Lollar Guitars and Pickups

This 9,000 SF remodel of a Tacoma area non-reinforced masonry warehouse building, originally built in 1911, offered Merit Construction a unique experience. Working with neighboring tenants to gain access for the repair of 80% of the building’s exterior masonry proved critical to the project’s success. Along with these repairs windows were reframed and installed, a new roof installed, electrical service and HVAC system updates made and the attic floor was dropped 15 inches to create a second level for workspace and storage, expanding the building’s effectiveness, while maintaining the charm and feel of the original design.

We were complete novices when it came to remodeling a commercial building, especially one built in 1911. We did know that we wanted to keep the character and originality of the building while updating it to meet our needs. Through the whole process we felt included, understood and completely accommodated. You kept us updated, helped us make difficult decisions and basically held our hands through the whole process.
