Featured Project: Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Community Center

The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe Community Center consists of a 103,997 sq ft Community Center with 23,885 sq ft Youth and Teen Center. The structure is a non-combustible pre-engineered metal building from Varco Pruden. The Youth and Teen Center consists of a commercial kitchen, recording studio, theater, break room, TV lounge, three large restrooms, and various classrooms.
The community center consists of a full commercial kitchen with a walk-in cooler and freezer, several large conference rooms, meeting rooms, and administration offices. Additionally, the building includes a 28,600 sq ft gymnasium with retractable bleachers, a championship court as well as several supplemental basketball courts. The gymnasium has divider curtains, a Jumbo Tron score board, volleyball and pickle base court delineations, and several locker rooms directly off the courts. Supplemental to the gym there is a game lobby with a concession area, a large open flame fireplace, and an elevator providing access to an upper walking track which overlooks the courts and is surrounded by windows providing beautiful outdoor views of landscaping and Mt. Rainier.

When looking to construct, renovate or expand a building, one of the first questions to address should be which project process to utilize. The two processes to take into consideration are Team-Build, (similar to Design Build) and Design-Bid-Build.

Our Team-Build process was implemented because we knew that if we could get involved at the earliest point, and work alongside architects, our Owners would be far better served. When we start the project as a team, we can understand the goals and budget of a build and do what is most efficient from the onset. We can manage the entire design and construction process for you through site selection and acquisition to final completion. Because we are extensively networked in the design and engineering community, we can choose the right professionals to help you achieve your goals.
