Commercial Construction Project Coordinator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Coordinator with experience in Procore to support our project management team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in organization, communication, and problem-solving. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring our construction projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day operations, ensuring project milestones are met.
• Maintain and organize project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, ASIs, change orders, meeting minutes, closeouts, and more.
• Utilize Procore for document management, project tracking, and communication.
• Obtain detailed knowledge of contracts, drawings, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with field teams to ensure they have the necessary information for upcoming tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist in budget tracking, procurement of materials, and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry required.
• Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred:
• Education: High school diploma required; college degree in Construction, Engineering, or Business preferred.
• Experience with construction contract review.
• Knowledge of Sage 300 and MS Project.

Commercial Construction Superintendent
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations across a range of projects. This role requires a confident and proactive leader who can manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. You’ll be the face of Merit on the job site—ensuring smooth operations, quality execution, and strong communication between the field and office.
Major Responsibilities:
Review and edit preliminary schedule, creating a master schedule
Schedule subcontractors, vendors, and consultants, in critical path to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling.
Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Receiving/ordering of materials/supplies:
Review all slips to ensure shipments are complete. From your cost spreadsheet select the appropriate code and turn in slips to project manager.
Daily photo documentation
Photo documentation of existing conditions at job start
Secondary Functions:
Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts.
Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site.
Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.
Preside at pre-construction meeting with each subcontractor.
Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, computer, Smart phone devices, and digital camera.
Blueprint reading
Physically lift up to 50 lbs.
Endurance and ability to walk entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structures.

Certificates & Licenses:
All employees are required to have an up to date CPR/First Aid certificate.
10 hour OSHA training.
8 hours of ongoing construction related training a year
