Cheers to Us - A Women in Construction Week Event

Did you know the construction work force is made up of only 14% women? That number continues to grow, but there is a clear underrepresentation of women in the industry. Merit is proud to be a women owned business and is committed to lifting up women in the industry.

To celebrate local women in the industry, Merit hosted a get together at Ebony and Ivory Coffee!

Engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other general contractors gathered to share experiences, lessons learned, advice, and reminisced on past collaborations. It is important to create opportunities for women in the industry to gather in a relaxed environment away from the office or job site – this is where true relationships are formed, and knowledge is shared.
