Holiday Inn
Merit Construction partnered with Holiday Inn on the complete renovation of this seven-story building, built in 1981. The team-build project included bidder-designed electrical, plumbing, fire suppression and HVAC systems. In keeping with the client’s design specifications, new floor coverings, furnishings, wall-coverings and granite countertops were installed, as well as a completely new kitchen and bar area. A new mansard perimeter roof and porte-cochere entrance were incorporated into the design so that the hotel’s exterior would have a more modern look. The main entrance columns were upgraded with granite paneling, and a water feature was installed in the front lobby.
