St. Anthony’s Medical Building at Pt. Fosdick
Merit Construction provided pre-construction and construction services on this team-build project. The pre-construction phase of this project was very important to gain maximum leasable space using cost effective construction methods while meeting the City of Gig Harbor’s planning ordinances. This 96,000 SF building was constructed of a structural steel frame supported by concrete foundations and columns. The building was planned for future tenants and had flexibility engineered into the spaces for a variety of possible tenant configurations. The exterior finishes were comprised of architectural concrete, composite aluminum panels and sheet metal which were chosen to provide low maintenance and lasting durability to the weather elements. The building also contained significant artwork and water features which were elements that made this facility unique.
