Pieces of the Merit Difference
Today’s blog post barely scratches the surface of some of the ways we at Merit ensure quality. We chose a few of the procedures we follow to give an idea as to what ways your general contractor can, and should be serving you.
Pre-Construction & Team Build
Throughout the pre-construction phase we work as a team to confirm expected building standards and develop a checklist to verify those standards are incorporated in all documents. Each design meeting includes a quality control review so the established standards are being achieved. Merit closely reviews the subcontractor and supplier proposals for correct scope and specification accuracy. Review of submittals for materials, equipment and installation processes are performed and confirmed.
Always Having a Superintendent on Site.
Our superintendents have valuable knowledge that comes from decades of experience. Their supervision of all subcontractors ensures that all materials are being installed correctly, on-time, and according to the specifications and submittals. Regardless of who shows up to do the work that day, it will be to Merit standard.
Schedule Control
Especially in today’s world, meeting deadlines is everything. Merit has a multi-phased process for development of project schedules. Long lead items are identified early in construction, so on-time delivery is never an issue. Our schedule is monitored throughout the project by the on-site superintendent, and updated if needed so our Owners always have a current picture.
